Preparation

Here, some advice before getting a tattoo:

You should come to your appointment well-rested, relaxed and without time pressure.

You should have eaten a couple of hours before the appointment and definitely NOT with an empty stomach, because otherwise you might get cardiac and circulatory problems/troubles.

Do NOT consume any alcohol or drugs and too much coffee the day before your appointment because otherwise your body produces more blood serum during the tattooing. The tattooing would take needlessly longer and the serum would hinder the artist in his work.

When you get in contact at work with dirt, dust (i.e. plaster, cement, flour), blood, lube, oil, acid vapors, acid, high temperatures, chlorine water, etc.), you should make an appointment when you are off from work for a while. If that is not possible, tell the tattoo artist about it and he/she will give you special aftercare advice.

Do not get an appointment short before or short after a holiday in which you are going to regions where your new tattoo will be exposed to strong solar radiation or when you stayed outside in the sun for days. You should also not go to a tanning booth two days before your appointment.

Inform the tattoo artist about existing allergy or bring, if necessary, your allergy ID. If you are HIV-positive or have hepatitis, inform the artist before the appointment.

You should NOT get a tattoo when you have epilepsy, hemophilia or diabetes.
